Story about sunflower
As a tween, we moved into a bungalow and I was in awe of how enormous my bedroom was. It had a huge window that I could sit in and plenty of space for making up dances to my favourite pop songs with my friends. One thing was wrong though - I hated the decor when we first moved in and had this grand vision of taking off the dado rails (parents said no but I could sand them) and paint a huge mural of sunflowers - my then favourite flowers.
I made copious drawings but the dado rail defeated me and I gave up on the plan.
Nevertheless, many years later I had created a beautiful print of that flower so that you can adorn your wall with it. The print measures 12 x 12cm (16cm when mounted) and is from an edition of only 13.
The colour is achieved with a watercolour underpainting and I have Lino printed the striking black details over the top - it really makes it pop.
