So here it is – a lovely combination of raspberry, sea buckthorn, rosehip and sea salt. We absolutely love our wrapper for our coast bar, it just speaks summer and makes us feel really happy.

In 2021 we were very proud to announce that Coast was awarded a Bronze Award in the Chocolate, Confectionary and Desserts Category of the Nourish Awards, a very tough National health food award

The origins of cacao start in Central and South America. The Aztecs believed the seeds to be a gift from Quetzalcoatl, the god of wisdom. The seeds had such value that they were also used as form of currency.

These Aztec cacao bar are flavoured with chilli, allspice, vanilla and honey. Our  honey we source from a local company which aims to support local producers and honey bee conservation.

 I’m sure most of you will have tried mint tea and if you haven’t you should! Moroccan mint tea is a green tea prepared with spearmint leaves and sugar. The leaves have a clear pungent and mild aroma. Usually peppermint oil is used as a flavour, which is quite strong and fiery in taste. We have managed to source an organic spearmint essential oil, made from Moroccan spearmint leaves to flavour our raw cacao with. It’s a milder flavour than peppermint, but we love it!

Did you know that the region of California grows the most almonds? That’s why our almond cacao bar is called California. We’ve also chosen the Californian brown bear to go on our packaging.

Due to the more tropical nature of the countries we visited, we wanted to include Banana and Coconut in our Carnival bar. We’ve used organic banana powder, sun dried banana pieces, coconut chips and hazelnuts to create this flavour.  

 A hint of cinnamon and vanilla adds a little extra to this lovely combination.

Turkey is also famed for its fresh produce particularly hazelnuts and white mulberries.  So here we have our Turkish Nights cacao bar, flavoured with ground coffee, hazelnuts and white mulberries  all sourced from Turkey.

Inspired by our Spanish memories in a raw cacao bar? It had to be a combination with orange. 

To reflect that flamenco? How about swirls of raw caramel dancing around in the orange cacao, with cacao nibs to add a little crunch?
